BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Mary Zitwer Millman, President

Mary was Eugene and Edith Zitwer's youngest daughter. She is a lawyer and real estate broker living in New York City. Since the inception of the charity, Mary has been committed as the President and/or as a volunteer. She and her husband, Gerry, have a son, Robert, and are supporters of many organizations that promote education, health, and well-being for students in our country and elsewhere. Mary attended Cornell University and Benjamin N Cardozo School of Law.

Lori M. Russo, Vice President

Lori M. Russo, JD is consultant with a focus on women's health. Prior to starting her own consulting business, Lori was in-house counsel and Americas Head of Employee Recognition and Alumni Relations for Credit Suisse, a multinational financial services company. Since 2012, Ms. Russo has concentrated on projects related to health care, with a specific focus on women's health and gender disparities. Recent projects include the PBS documentaries "Rx:The Quiet Revolution", and "Rx: Doctors of Tomorrow". She is a graduate of Northwestern University and the Boston University School of Law.

Barbara J. Zitwer, Vice President

Barbara J. Zitwer was Edith and Eugene Zitwer's middle daughter and is the owner an international literary agency. She has focused her career on helping many authors who are victims of human rights violations and who would otherwise not have a voice in the English language and around the world. Her authors include Booker Prize winners, NY TIMES Bestsellers and she is responsible for introducing Korean literature to the world. She lives in New York City with her husband and their two dogs.

Terese Cavanagh, Secretary

Terese Cavanagh, Esq. is a retired attorney. Since her retirement she has assisted the Nassau County Bar Association with the Superstorm Sandy and Foreclosure clinics. She also sits on the Board of the Alley Pond Environmental Center located in Queens County. She is a docent at the Nassau County Museum of Art, is a Certified Master Gardener and gives lectures on horticultural topics. Terry has been involved with the Eugene Zitwer Foundation for over a decade as a volunteer and thereafter as a Board Member. School of Visual Arts 1968 - Advertising Design. Queens College 1973 - Art History/Fine Arts. Brooklyn Law School 1986.

Sharon Weintraub Dashow, Treasurer

Sharon practices law in New York City, Brooklyn and Long Island and was a founding member of the charity. She has been the treasurer of the Eugene Zitwer Foundation since its inception. She, her husband, Michael, and her three children, Erica, Jordan and Allison are proud volunteers and supporters of many charities in their communities. Sharon is a vibrant and very active volunteer at The Manetto Hill Jewish Center where she is a member of the board of directors and has previously served as President and Vice President. Sharon attended the State University at Albany and Benjamin N Cardozo School of Law.
